La historia arranca diez años después de los dramáticos acontecimientos de “La guerra de las galaxias. Episodio III: La venganza de los Sith” en la que Kenobi sufrió su mayor derrota: la caída y la corrupción de su mejor amigo y aprendiz Jedi, Anakin Skywalker, que se convirtió en el malvado Lord Sith Darth Vader.
“Obi-Wan Kenobi” está protagonizada por Ewan McGregor, que retoma su papel como el icónico Maestro Jedi. La serie supone, además, el regreso de Hayden Christensen en el papel de Darth Vader. Se unen al reparto Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr, Sung Kang, Simone Kessell y Benny Safdie. La serie “Obi-Wan Kenobi” está dirigida por Deborah Chow, y cuenta en la producción ejecutiva con Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Deborah Chow, Ewan McGregor y Joby Harold.
Los dos primeros episodios de la serie llegarán el próximo viernes 27 de mayo en exclusiva a Disney+. Tras el estreno, un nuevo episodio estará disponible cada miércoles, hasta el episodio final, el miércoles 22 de junio.
